About & Department

The Department of Applied Mathematics is involved in the teaching of Applied Mathematics at undergraduate and also at post graduate level. The Department is active in experimenting new strategies of aptitude building in students for acquiring efficiency in the subject. The Department is committed to bringing innovative revolutions in the domain of Applied Mathematics teaching in engineering stream. The Department of Mathematics comprises of 14 faculty members specializing in the fields of Thermoelasticity, Optimization techniques, MOND Theory, Relativity, Operations Research etc.

The Department of Applied Mathematics has faculty keenly devoted to teaching as well as research. The Department always strives for the betterment of the students so that they get strength to open up new portals in the Modern era. Over the years, the Department has carved a niche' through scintillating results, research, cocurricular and extra-curricular activities.

Dr.(Mrs.)Kalpana G.Lokhande, HOD & Asstt. Prof., keeps on exploring new ideas amongst the faculty members to give new dimensions to the teaching learning process. Every year the Department is scaling new heights towards the Student Results. Many student oriented activities are a regular feature of the Department. Intra and Inter collegiate Aptitude test on Mathematics, National level Students Conventions are to name a few.

A Mathematics Club has been constituted from academic year 2019-20 for welfare of students of first year and higher semester.Under which various activities are conducted throughout the year. Overwhelming response for all the activities of Mathematics club.
