Entrepreneurship & Incubation Centre

About Entrepreneurship & Incubation Centre :

Dr. (Mrs) Shubhada Pravin Muley,
Coordinator, Enterpreneurship and Incubation center ,
Professor, Department of Electrical (E&P) Engineering.

Institution has created an Ecosystem for Innovations including Incubation Center and other initiatives for creation and Transfer of knowledge. PCE has signed MOUs with MCED (a Government organization) to provide the information on entrepreneurship to the student and faculty.
The academic and research expertise of the PCE continually contribute to the Innovation Ecosystem through breakthrough solutions and suggestion for solving critical problems, and motivating students to become Entrepreneur. An Incubation Center is established in PCE campus in collaboration with V.S. Informative pvt.ltd, Nagpur and Maharashtra Center for Entrepreneur Development (MCED), to inculcate the idea of Entrepreneurship and Start up in student.

PCE Incubation cell : Fabrication of Solar LED tube light and LED light Panel

This cell has devised a solar powered LED bulb and tube light system to provide light in a rural environment and reduce the electric power consumption in urban area. This cell conducts a hands-on training program in fabrication of Solar Powered LED Lamps and Tube light as a part of its Social Commitment program in job skill for student . The LED lamps and Tube light have solar panels which are used to charge the batteries using sunlight. The system also has the provision of charging the battery electrically. A kit containing the tools required for designing the system is presented to each participant to enable production of solar powered LED lamps and tube light at low scale and sell them to consumers in the rural areas where electricity supply is erratic and irregular and in urban area to reduce load consumption of electricity. This can also be a source of earning for the students. "V. S. Informatics Private Limited Company, Nagpur" is extending their expertise in the form of fabrication, installation, maintenance and training PCE Incubation Cell.

Center of Entrepreneurship Development

The Center of Entrepreneurship Development devised a system to guide and motivate student and faculty to become Entrepreneur and Start- up. This Center has collaboration with MCED, a prime Government venture for Entrepreneurship and Start -up. This Center is developing students for Entrepreneurship & Start -up by providing guidance on project report preparation, financial assistance, market survey and marketing of product. Entrepreneurship awareness workshops have been organized in collaboration with MCED sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Management based seminar and workshop have been organized by the center for the students to give them an idea to manage and run their entrepreneurial venture. The center motivates students to incubate their start ups in the campus by offering them guidance, services and consultancy in current developments technology.

Inter-disciplinary collaboration

An interdisciplinary collaboration between various department of PCE are working towards development of innovative projects of students in the latest technology of IoT, Computer Science, Robotics, Renewable Energy, Automation ,Civil Engineering and Aeronautical engineering.

Start-ups

Additionally, Start-ups have been incubated in the campus offering services and consultancy in Fabrication and Research in Solar LED Tube light panel and LED light panel. Also ideas are incubated from student in current developments in Information Technology, IoT and Automation. Better interaction between Technical institutions and industry is the need of the hour. This will have great bearing on the Engineering Curriculum, exposure of industrial atmosphere to engineering students and subsequent placement of young graduating engineers in industries across the country. With the advent of globalization and opening up of Indian economy to outside world, competition among industries have become stiff. To solve their engineering problems they look up now to engg. institutions. Similarly, there is an urgent need to prepare engineering students for jobs in multinational companies, by exposing them to newer technologies and engineering methodologies. These objectives can only be achieved well by bridging the gap between industry and the academic institute.
