About the Cell :
A special Cell to look into the affairs of Other Backward Class (Backward and Most Backward) students and staff of the institution is constituted and functioning in the campus. The committee will meets at regular interval to monitor students admitted against reservation norms of OBC, admitted in general category, complaints and references reported by the students, relationship environment, facilities for girl students, financial assistances received from the state and central governments etc.
Objectives of the Cell:
Maintain social relationship among the admitted students in the college and resolve issues, grievances, representations etc.. - Ensure reservation norms in the admission of students.
- Explore redressal mechanisms and provisions for remedial coaching, counselling etc.
- Coordination of equal opportunity, welfare and other schemes including financial assistances from the government and UGC.
- Any other works assigned by the University from time to promote higher education among OBC students and staff.
- The OBC Cell will exclusively look after the work related to the OBC and minorities.
- To ensure provisions for an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
- To provide prompt counselling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any events at the campus.
